Post Core - 12:00 am
I did not sleep well, infact I found myself escaping from dreams through out the night. My SleepBot app confirms that there was significant movement at 9:12, 9:48, 10:12, 10:52, and 11:50; the last of which was when I woke up before my alarm going off again. I have no noticeable symptoms of poor sleep yet, but I think that the chance for that is highly likely in the coming hours. On the flip side, this may be a indication that my brain is finally attempting to repartition my sleep to work with the naps; but I'll need to do more research before I'll make any such claim.
We ate a full breakfast at 2:30 am.
We changed our schedule, check out this blog for details.
Post Nap 1 - 3:50 am
Awoke before the alarm again. Fell asleep into a lucid dream; this is happening nearly 100% of the time now. Participated with a P90X video. Prepared and ate a morning snack.
Night Shift
I realize now that all of the time that I winning by going polyphasic is between 12 and 6am, and this is because our day is focused around a "nine-to-five" work schedule. That made me think of what an incredible boon to night shift workers this would be if they too tried polyphasic sleeping, therefore gaining those precious daylight hours to do the regular business which can't because they are asleep.
Post Nap 2 - 8:20 am
Wow, I was so focused on working this new software project that I missed this nap by an entire hour. I crawled into bed, reset the alarm and woke up with a headache. Yay. I should really make sure that doesn't happen again.
Post Nap 3 - N/A
My brother who is moving off island very soon came by to drop off some things that the movers would not ship. He ended up staying for lunch and watching first a dissection of, then the movie, Inception (how perfect with all these lucid dreams!). It was interesting enough that I missed this nap completely.
It is 2:48 and my head throbbing, my stomach feels hollow, and there is pressure behind my eyes. It is currently difficult for me to hold concentration or think creatively. Skipping the nap was a horrible idea!
Pre Core - 9:30 pm
Brother stayed over. Getting to bed late by an hour. Can't do this again. Makes my head hurt and eyes threatening to close. Adjusted alarms to ensure that we get a full 3.5 hr core. Perhaps all will be well in the morning.
